Belgian freelance photographer Tom Van Cakenberghe is based in Kathmandu, Nepal, since 2006.

He travelled over Himalayan passes for National Geographic, reported on social and human rights issues for international papers and magazines and documented projects of NGO's like the Red Cross, UN and Wateraid.

Throughout the year Tom documents the lifes and issues of ordinary people all over Nepal.

On a lighter note, Tom is experimenting with editorial style fashion photography.

His work is distributed by OnAsia Images, Barcroft Media, Sipa Press and Getty Images Global Assignment.
